CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Senior Lori Crotts (New Castle, Va./Craig County) finished in the top-10 for the third straight meet on Friday afternoon at the Charlotte Invitational.

The Radford women’s cross country team posted a team score of 370 points, which was good for 13th place overall.

Each Highlander runner posted a season’s best or personal best in a highly competitive meet with teams ranging from the SEC, Atlantic 10, Southern Conference, Big South and Atlantic Sun.

Crotts crossed the finish line with a time of 17:54.70, which was only seven seconds off the school record set by Meghan McLaughlin in 2001. This is her third straight top-10 finish of the season as she placed second in the Virginia Tech Relays and eighth at the Big South Preview.

Freshman Hannah Scheren (Lovettsville, Va./Loudon Valley) was the second Radford runner to cross the finish line placing 64th. Her time of 19:36.40 was a personal best.

Brittany Christian (Cary, N.C./Green Hope), Rachel Travitz (Roanoke, Va./Cave Spring) and Corie Tedesco (Chester, N.J./West Morris Central) each recorded a season best on Friday. Christian posted a time of 19:50.60, while Travitz and Tedesco each recorded times of 20:15.60 and 23:17.00, respectively.
