Seniors Megan Leineweber (Salisbury, Md. / Parkside) and Maggie Watts (Paris, Ky. / Paris) are one back of Coles in a tie for 39th, while Jade Okamoto (Huntington Beach, Calif. / Marina) and Amy McCollum (Pittsford, N.Y. / Pittsford) opened with rounds of 83 and 84, respectively.

College of Charleston holds the top spot on the team leaderboard following a 291, which is five strokes clear of second-place Western Carolina and seven ahead of Morehead State.

Ainhoa Nogales (College of Charleston) and Lucia Fernandez (Jacksonville) share the individual lead at two-under par.
