Johnette Walker (Columbia, S.C./Irmo) and a double-double from junior
Kymesha Alston (Hampton, Va./Manhattan). Despite the loss, the Highlanders remain in the hunt for one of the top seeds for the Big South tournament. With a 6-6 record Radford is in a tie for fifth and only a half-game out of a second.
Game Notes
Coastal Carolina is coming off a 77-44 home defeat against Liberty on Saturday. The Chanticleers are also in a tie for fifth with the Highlanders, as they play the third contest of their four-game homestand.
Radford won the first matchup of the season, 65-56 on Jan. 24 in the Dedmon Center. Sophomore Taleia Moton (Fort Washington, Md./Suitland) tallied a then-career-high 20 points and Alston added 19 points and nine rebounds.
The Highlanders lead the all-time series 36-12 and have won three of the last four meetings. They are 14-8 in Kimbel Arena, winning last year’s contest 71-54.
