ROANOKE, Va. – Exactly one month after concluding his collegiate career as the all-time winningest player in Radford men’s tennis history, Martin Sayer captured his second title of the summer by winning the men’s open singles division of the Roanoke Valley Invitational Tennis Tournament at Hollins University.
Sayer, who claimed the Virginia State Open Clay Court Championships earlier this month in Keswick, defeated Maryland recruit Sergio Wyss 6-2, 2-6, 6-1 in the finals Sunday afternoon.

To go along with playing in the singles final, Sayer also advanced to the men’s open doubles and mixed doubles final.
The four-time Big South Player of the Year will continue his summer tour next month as member of Hong Kong’s Davis Cup team.
