Herring Named to Two National Advisory Boards, Including NACMA Board of Directors

RADFORD, Va. – Radford University Assistant Athletic Director for External Affairs Greg Herring was re-appointed to the board of directors for the National Association of Collegiate Marketing Administrators (NACMA) by the association's collective membership at its recent annual convention in Orlando, Fla.
“I’m honored to have the opportunity to serve these two outstanding Boards and the constituents they represent,” said Herring. “I look forward to contributing in the mission of both NACMA and the Journal, while proudly representing Radford University.”
Herring has also served the association as a board member and a conference NACMA representative, while twice contributing to its Athletics Administration trade publication and presenting at the association’s annual convention on numerous occasions and topics.
Additionally, Herring was recently added to the list of practitioners who sit on the review board for the Journal of Sports Administration & Supervision. The mission of the journal is to develop, advance, disseminate, promote, and preserve knowledge within the academic discipline of sport management by providing an outlet that is both grounded in academic theory and driven by the needs of practitioners and the environment of the sport industry.
Herring is in his first year at Radford with oversight duties which include athletic marketing, ticket sales, corporate sponsorships and the university's licensing program.
NACMA’s Mission: The mission of NACMA is to foster the highest possible professional and ethical standards, while providing administrators in athletics marketing, communications and revenue generation a broad range of advancement opportunities. Further, it is NACMA's mission to improve the overall understanding and effectiveness of the athletics marketing profession, while upholding the ideals of higher education. NACMA's membership has increased to over 1200 intercollegiate marketing administrators since its inception in 1990.
