RADFORD, Va. – Cindy McGraw has been named Director of Women’s Basketball Operations at Radford University, head coach Tajama Ngongba announced Tuesday afternoon.

McGraw, a former Roanoke College standout and Lynchburg native, joins Radford after spending last season as the assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at Earlham College in Richmond, Ind.

“Cindy is a great addition to our staff,” commented Ngongba. “She is very organized, ambitious and personable. I know she will do well at Radford and our entire staff is glad to have her on board.”

With the Highlanders, McGraw will be responsible for a wide range of duties involving day-to-day office operations, including coordinating team travel and scouting film exchange. She will also assist with camps, in-house recruiting and community service initiatives.

Along with being the recruiting coordinator at Earlham, McGraw duties included team travel and promotion of special events. Outside of basketball, she served as the assistant tennis coach and was responsible for game management at Quaker athletic events.

McGraw enjoyed a two-sport collegiate career as a basketball and tennis athlete at Roanoke. A team captain for both squads, the 2007 graduate was a two-time all-conference tennis selection in 2004 and 2005.

During her time with the Maroons, McGraw was also spent time on the summer camp circuit, including stints at the Dell Curry Urban Camp and Curtis Staples Camp.

Following her graduation from Roanoke, McGraw entered the coaching ranks as the head junior varsity and assistant girls varsity coach at Monacan High School in Richmond, Va.
