The Radford University Athletic Ticket Office is currently accepting orders for 2009-10 men's and women's basketball season tickets.
Invoices for those individuals who held season tickets last season, or those individuals who provided deposits in advance, should have already been received in the mail. The deadline for those renewals is Friday, October 16.
Season ticket brochures, for those considering purchasing season tickets for the first time, will soon be available in print but can viewed now online at RadfordAthletics.com. Tickets can also be purchased online at RadfordAthletics.com or by calling 540-831-RUTX (7889). Seating assignments will not be available at the time of purchase.
The men's basketball season-ticket package features 15 home games this season as the Highlanders look to build on last year's historic Big South Championship and NCAA Tournament appearance. The Highlanders, led by 2009 Big South Player of the Year and All-American Art Parakhouski, and First Team All-Conference forward, Joey Lynch-Flohr, have been picked as the preseason favorite to repeat as champions and return to the “Big Dance.”
Several new season ticket options have been made available. Season tickets in the reserved chairback sections are $140 for the general public and $112 for RU faculty/staff. Fans looking for a unique game day experience can enjoy new VIP courtside seating for $500. This option provides a season ticket for all men’s and women’s home games, reserved parking and other amenities. For the more economically-conscious fan, a reserved bleacher season ticket is available for only $80.
Additionally, RU will offer two more ticket options for fans, including a “Family Fun Plan” and a “Saturday Six Pack Mini-Plan,” which provides fans a reserved chairback for all six Saturday home games and the Sunday, December 13 game versus Roanoke as a bonus for $64. The “Family Fun Plan” includes one adult and one youth reserved bleacher ticket to all 15 home men’s basketball games for $120; additional youth tickets are available for $60. The opponents for the “Saturday Six Pack” include regular season contests with UNC Asheville, Liberty, High Point, Coastal Carolina, Winthrop and an opponent yet to be determined for a Bracketbuster game on Feb. 20.
Single-game tickets for men's basketball will go on sale to the general public on November 2. Prices are $12 for chairback seating and general admission bleacher seats are $8 for adults, $6 for youth.
In addition to the men's season ticket packages, tickets for the 2009-10 Radford University women's basketball season are also on sale. Reserved chairback season tickets are $65 for the general public and $52 for RU faculty/staff. Individual-game tickets will also be made available to the public on November 2. General admission tickets are priced at $6 for adults and $4 for youth.
Tickets for the 2009-10 men's and women's basketball seasons can be purchased online at www.RadfordAthletics.com or by calling 540-831-RUTX (7889). Ticket discounts for groups of 25 or more are also available by calling the ticket office directly at that number.
